Electric
mowers have some great advantages, in that they do not directly pollute the
air and do not use gasline. Their application is best suited, however, to relatively
small lots, for both of the major varieties:
- Corded electric mowers, which are lightweight and maneuverable,
but require a long extension cord, usually not much more than 100 feet.
- Battery electric mowers, which weigh much more than corded
mowers, and have a limited running time, depending on the capacity of the
battery.
